Remote Desktop Set up and Connect
Once you have established a VPN connection to the MVRPC network, you will connect to your own desktop to work remotely.
Click the windows button in the left of the taskbar and in the Search box type “Remote” and you should see the Remote Desktop Connection in the menu.
Click Remote Desktop Connection.
When the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box appears, click Show Options.
In the Computer box, Enter your Computer name as shown in the table below.
Type your user name with the domain name as shown: “mvrpc2k\username”.
Click Connnect.

You should see your work desktop. You will need to type your network password, just like sitting at the office logging in. You will see your work computer desktop and can do all the normal work. You may have some lag based on your internet connection. If you get disconnected, check the VPN status and reconnect to the VPN, then launch the Remote Desktop again.
